This year’s East Design Show was themed “Craft Art = Design”.Along with handicraft designers, it explored the relationship between crafts, art and design, presenting a rich lifestyle display space. The goal of the curation was to bring craft art into daily life through design.

The exhibition drew inspiration from the origin of life and compose”Seven Chapters” by categorizing the essential elements of daily existence as: light, air & water, plants, day & night, life, humanity, and wholeness. It invited intermational brands including Vitra, Memphis, and Magis to interpret different chapters, fully manifesting the charm of theatrical drama.

Building a diverse, open, and inclusive international platform, the event connected leading design forces domestically and internationally. It guided industry trends, helped design penetrate deep into the industry, and driven China’s office ecology toward a high-quality and sustainable future.

This year’s exhibition, themed “Growth” highlighted diverse applications in outdoor furniture design, materials, and craftsmanship. It also invited commercial space designers and cross-disciplinary artists to share insights on outdoor lifestyles and furniture design trends.

“From material to symbol, function to scenario, product to narrative”, this exhibition spotlighted 13 collectives of post 80s and 90s designer brands. Adopting an open layout, this gallery focused on global material innovation,featuring CMF breakthrough products brands from 16 countries and regions across China, South Korea, the U.S., the U.K., Israel, Turkey, Finland, Austria, Italy, Japan, and Germany.
