- Compliance & Credentials: Audit factory business licenses, export qualifications, and original certificates for industry standards (e.g., FSC certification, BIFMA testing reports, and E0/ENF emissions compliance).
- Technical Competency: Evaluate the vendor’s engineering team on their ability to accurately interpret CAD drawings and Tech Packs, ensuring alignment on fabric physical specifications and hardware components.
- Prototyping Turnaround: Monitor initial sampling milestones to verify if the factory delivers prototypes and color swatches within the agreed 15–20 day timeline.
60 Days Post-Show: Sample Inspection & Off-Peak Factory Audit
- Physical Sample Testing & Approval: Test delivered prototypes for dimensional tolerances, structural load capacity, wear resistance, and off-gassing/odor. Issue a formal Written Sample Evaluation Report and execute a signed “golden sample” sign-off upon approval.
